The job is prestigious within Türkiye and increasingly international: the airline recruits foreign-national crew for language-specific routes alongside its large Turkish workforce. The honest realities: Turkish inflation makes salary figures move constantly (per diems in euros and dollars are the stabilizer crew value most), rosters at a hub this busy are dense with early reports and long duty days, and the commute to Istanbul Airport is famously long from most neighbourhoods. Competition for places is intense — tens of thousands apply per intake — and Turkish-language ability is required for the main crew pool. Career runway, though, is exceptional: the airline's growth means promotion, wide-body upgrades and training roles arrive on ability rather than dead-man's-shoes seniority.
