- Hair
- Neat, off the collar and in a natural colour, styled to hold across Brazilian and African long-haul rotations. TAP publishes no list of permitted styles.
- Make-up
- No published specification. Understated and coordinated with the uniform is what the image assessment is scoring, and the airline sets the standard during initial safety and service training.
- Facial hair
- TAP does not publish a beard rule. Neatly maintained facial hair is normal at Portuguese carriers, but the image assessment in Lisbon is where the current standard is applied.
- Nails
- Clean, short and discreet, without published shade or length limits. Long extensions are a risk at an assessment where image is explicitly evaluated.
- Glasses & contacts
- Prescription glasses are accepted with conventional frames and no published restriction. A spare pair is worth carrying on the long Brazil and Africa rotations.
- Piercings
- Discreet and minimal — small plain earrings, nothing facial. No numbered limit is published, so keep the Lisbon assessment conservative.
- Jewellery
- Plain, professional pieces that sit quietly with the uniform. Nothing oversized or decorative.
- Tattoos in uniform
- Nothing may be visible in uniform, and coverable tattoos are accepted without fuss — the reference point is what the uniform exposes during a full duty. Visible hand, neck or face designs are not accepted.
- Headscarf
- TAP does not publish a headscarf option for cabin crew. Ask recruitment during an open campaign rather than assuming a position.
- Uniform
- A tailored uniform in TAP's green-led national palette, worn with the airline's scarf and issued during initial training in Lisbon. The image assessment on the selection day is partly about how you would carry it.
