- Hair
- Worn up, secured and off the collar in a natural colour, so it survives a full duty from Manama to London without attention. The airline publishes no list of permitted styles.
- Make-up
- Not published. Female crew wear a complete, understated face coordinated with the uniform palette; the approved approach is issued during the image module rather than in the job advert.
- Facial hair
- No published rule. Clean-shaven is the regional expectation for male crew, and the grooming check on the assessment day is where it will be applied in practice.
- Nails
- Short, clean and neutral is the working standard. Gulf Air does not publish shade or length rules, so keep extensions and nail art out of the assessment day.
- Glasses & contacts
- The airline publishes no eyewear rule. Discreet prescription frames are normal on the line, and a spare pair is worth carrying on the longer European sectors.
- Piercings
- Not published. The regional baseline of one pair of small plain earrings for female crew, and none for male crew, is the safe assumption in uniform.
- Jewellery
- Plain and minimal, in classic metals. There is no published list, so avoid anything that draws attention away from the uniform.
- Tattoos in uniform
- Nothing may show while you are in uniform, judged against the short-sleeved shirt rather than what you can cover on the day. Forearm, hand, wrist, neck and face designs are the ones that rule you out; upper arm, torso and thigh are unaffected.
- Headscarf
- Gulf Air does not publish a hijab policy for cabin crew. The scarf worn with the uniform is a styling element, so ask recruitment for the real position rather than inferring one.
- Uniform
- A traditional, well-tailored uniform in Gulf Air's gold and teal palette, carrying the airline's falcon identity, issued and fitted before training in Manama. The look is deliberately classic rather than fashion-led, in keeping with a carrier founded in 1950.
