Most carriers set 18; Gulf and US majors usually 21.

160 cm min
Reach matters more than height: you must access the emergency equipment overhead.
Tattoos
Nothing visible in uniform
Tattoos must be coverable by the uniform; visible hand, neck or face tattoos are not accepted. Like most of the 59 airlines we index, nothing may show while you are in uniform.
Languages
Fluent English
Fluent English required; Finnish and other languages (Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Swedish) are significant advantages.
Education
Completed secondary education.

Medical, swimming & documents
EU/EEA right to work in Finland, ability to swim, health suitable for aircrew duties, and readiness to complete training in Helsinki before a 2027 flying start for the current intake.
Work rights matter here
Finnair expects the right to work in Finland. Without it, applications are usually filtered out before assessment regardless of how strong the rest of your profile is.
