Delta profit sharing and what it actually added to my year

#1 People compare hourly rates between the majors and forget this. Delta pays profit sharing once a year based on the company's results. In a good year it has been a meaningful percentage of annual pay, in a bad year small. It is not guaranteed and it should not decide your choice, but for anyone comparing Delta with United and American on the hourly rate alone, add it to the picture.

#2 American has profit sharing too, historically smaller. Fair point that it belongs in the comparison.
