- Hair
- Neat, clean and a natural colour, worn clear of the collar and of service. Air Canada publishes no approved-style list.
- Make-up
- Not required by the published hiring requirements. Polished and professional is the expectation, and the full standard is issued in training.
- Facial hair
- Air Canada does not publish its facial-hair rule externally; neatly groomed is the operating standard and the appearance policy comes in training. Ask the recruiter if you wear a beard.
- Nails
- Short, clean and conservatively finished, safe around cabin equipment.
- Glasses & contacts
- Yes. Corrective eyewear is unrestricted; the Transport Canada medical asks for corrected vision to standard.
- Piercings
- Earlobe piercings worn as discreet studs; visible facial, nose and body piercings are outside the standard.
- Jewellery
- Conservative — a watch, a wedding band, small earrings and the issued wings and badge.
- Tattoos in uniform
- Nothing may be visible in uniform, though small pieces the uniform covers are fine — the rule is about what shows, not about having ink. Forearms, wrists, hands and neck are the placements that end an application.
- Headscarf
- Air Canada does not publish a standard headscarf piece. Canadian human rights law requires employers to accommodate religious dress, so raise it with recruitment rather than reading the silence as a refusal.
- Uniform
- The Christopher Bates collection introduced in 2017 — black and charcoal with Air Canada red as the single accent, finished with the red scarf or tie.
