Wizz Air cabin crew from the UK bases: Luton, Gatwick and the UK contract, the Wizz UK operation

easyJet Luton, and the Wizz Luton base is across the apron from ours and the Wizz UK crew are at the same bus stop. The Wizz threads on this forum are Central European and the Wizz UK crew asked me, as the Luton voice, to write the UK one with their input, because the UK applicants compare Wizz, easyJet and Ryanair at Luton and Gatwick and the Wizz side is missing.

    Wizz Air UK

The UK registered Wizz airline for the UK bases (Luton as the main, Gatwick, and the ones that have come and gone), A321neos mostly, a network to Central and Eastern Europe (the diaspora routes to Poland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, the Baltics, which fly full year round from Luton) and the sun routes in summer. A UK employment contract, UK tax and national insurance, the UK pension auto enrolment, and a union recognition picture that is thinner than easyJet's.

    The pay in pounds

The Wizz structure (basic, flight hour pay, sector allowances, commission) in pounds, with the basic below easyJet's UK basic and the total on a busy month comparable, per the Wizz crew who compared payslips with me. The winter is the Wizz winter with the diaspora routes as the protection, which at Luton is real: the Warsaw and Bucharest flights are full in January.

    The operation

The Wizz pace Anita described: the A321neo with 239 seats and four crew, the 25 minute turnarounds, the on time performance culture, the head office emails from Budapest. The Luton base is big and the Wizz UK crew say the base management is the Budapest shop window at a distance.

Versus easyJet and Ryanair at Luton

easyJet Luton: the UK easyJet contract, the Unite recognition, the A320 and A321, the UK and European network, the cabin manager path, the part time options. Ryanair Luton: the Ryanair UK contract, the Ryanair pace, the sales. Wizz Luton: the Central European network, the neo cabin, the fastest promotion of the three (senior at two years is common at Wizz UK), the thinnest union picture, the Budapest culture. The UK applicants who want the Eastern European routes and the fast promotion choose Wizz. The ones who want the agreement and the cabin manager path choose easyJet. The ones who want the biggest network choose Ryanair.

The Wizz UK crew's honest view

A fast airline with a fast promotion and a culture that is Central European in a UK base, which suits the crew who like structure and pace and does not suit the ones who want a chat with a manager. The Polish and Romanian crew at Luton who are the diaspora themselves and who fly home weekly on the routes, which is the Wizz UK specialism. And the pay in pounds, which makes the Wizz UK base the best paid in the Wizz network for the Central European crew who transfer there.

For the UK applicants at Luton and Gatwick

Three airlines, three contracts, one apron. Wizz for the east and the speed. easyJet for the agreement and the path. Ryanair for the network. The bus stop is shared.

Wizz Budapest, and the Wizz UK base being the best paid in the network for the Central European crew is why half my base has a Luton transfer request in. The pounds. Ollie has written the UK Wizz with the Wizz crew's input and it is fair to all three.

Wizz Warsaw, and the Polish crew at Wizz Luton who fly home weekly on the Warsaw route are the ones I envy: the diaspora route as the commute, in pounds. The Luton transfer is the Wizz career move the Polish crew make.

Ryanair Stansted, and the three airline comparison at Luton is the Stansted comparison with Wizz added. Ollie's placement is right: the east and the speed, the agreement and the path, the network. The bus stop is shared and the uniforms argue.

Leeds, aspiring, and Wizz was not on my UK list because I thought it was a Central European airline. The Luton base on a UK contract with the fast promotion changes the list. Applying to all three at Luton.

easyJet Gatwick, and the Wizz Gatwick base is small and the crew there describe exactly the Budapest shop window at a distance. The thin union picture is the easyJet crew's main note about Wizz UK and Ollie has been fair in saying it.

Wizz Gdańsk, and the Gdańsk to Luton route is my base's UK spine and the Luton crew on it are half Polish and paid in pounds. The transfer request is in. Ollie's thread is the reason.

@zara1999 all three at Luton is the right application and the Wizz UK crew would like more UK applicants, because the base is mostly Central European and the Luton locals are rare. The fast promotion is real.
