#1 Emirates, from Karachi, three years, grade I since spring, and the Pakistani threads on this forum are Faisal's Air Arabia path and Hassan's PIA. The Emirates events in Pakistan and the Pakistani crew life in Dubai have not been written, and the Karachi and Lahore applicant groups read this forum in the evenings. Here it is.
The Karachi and Lahore open days
Emirates holds events in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad several times a year. Large, 250 to 400, with a high share of hospitality (the Karachi and Lahore hotel industries) and a high share of English medium school graduates. The structure is the standard one. What is specific to Pakistan: the photo problem (the studio retouching), the passport validity (many applicants have passports with short validity from the visa applications), and the family question, which is asked to the women twice and sometimes three times.
The family question for Pakistani women
The recruiters have lost Pakistani women who arrived and left because a father or a brother changed his mind. The question is scored and the answer that works is specific and involves the family: my father knows, my brother has seen the accommodation rules, my mother has the flight prices, we have discussed the visits. The vague answer ('my family supports me') is the one the recruiters have heard end in a resignation at month three. Bring the family to the decision before the event, not after the call.
The Pakistani crew community in Dubai
Large, across every grade, with the Karachi and Lahore crews knowing each other from the events. The food is here, the Urdu is here, the Eid is comfortable, the mosques are everywhere. The accommodation buildings have Pakistani floors in practice. The community found me within a week.
The Karachi commute
Two hours. Daily flights on Emirates, flydubai and PIA. Standby on staff travel, home for a night on a two day off block. I go every six weeks and my mother meets me at the airport. The commute is the reason the Pakistani crew last, exactly as the Egyptian and Lebanese threads describe for theirs.
The money home
Every Pakistani crew member I know sends money monthly and the rupee rate has made the salary a family changing thing. The recruiters know and nobody is judged for it.
Advice for the Karachi and Lahore applicants
Plain photo. Passport renewed before the event. The family at the decision, especially the father and the brother, before the queue. English as you speak it at the English medium school. And the Karachi flight at two hours as the family answer that is also true.

#2 Emirates from Lahore, and Fatima has written the thread I should have. The family question asked three times to the women is the Pakistani event exactly and the father at the decision before the queue is the only answer. The commute is why we last.

#3 Pakistani at a Gulf carrier from Jeddah, and the Pakistani community in the Gulf cabins is one of the largest and the least written about on this forum. Fatima's thread fixes that. The Karachi flight at two hours is the commute the Egyptians have.

#4 Karachi, applying, and the family question being scored three times is the thing I needed to know before the event. My father is coming to the conversation this week, not after the call. Thank you.

#5 PIA, Lahore, and the Emirates events in Lahore recruit from the PIA crew too and the PIA experience is respected, as I wrote. Fatima's description of the Pakistani floors in the buildings is what my batch mates in Dubai describe.
-
#6 Emirates from Mumbai, and the Pakistani and Indian crew in the buildings share the floors and the food and the cricket arguments. The South Asian community in Dubai is one community with two passports. Good to have the Karachi version.

#7 Purser, and the Pakistani women in my cabins are among the most reliable crew on the fleet, and the recruiters' family question is the reason: the ones who got through it had the family at the decision. Fatima has explained the question from the inside.

#8 Chennai, aspiring, and the family question being asked three times to the women is the South Asian event, Pakistani and Indian both. The father at the decision. Noted for next quarter.
