South African Airways is rebuilding after its restructuring and hiring in smaller numbers; the private carriers (FlySafair, Airlink) are hiring more steadily for domestic and regional. For South Africans, the Gulf remains the main international route out, and the Gulf carriers do recruit in Johannesburg and Cape Town regularly.
