Latin American carriers hiring in 2026: LATAM, Aeroméxico, Avianca, Copa, GOL, Azul, Volaris, Viva and the Gulf events in the region, from crew on the ground

Aeroméxico, and following Paul's and Leon's threads, here is the Latin American hiring picture this month from crew at the airlines and from the applicant groups across the region. Same rules: what is running, not what the page says, with the date. Add below.

Aeroméxico

Recruiting Mexican nationals in rounds through the careers site, for Mexico City primarily, with the fleet growing on the 787s and the MAXs. Courses running. The union agreement (ASSA) is public and the pay is as the Aeroméxico thread describes. Confirmed by new joiners on my base.

Volaris and Viva Aerobus

Both hiring continuously in Mexico in large numbers, as the Viva thread describes. The entry doors in Mexico and they are wide open. Courses monthly.

LATAM

Recruiting base by base across Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, with the Brazilian and Chilean bases the most active. The LATAM threads on here have the base specific detail. Long haul courses smaller than short haul.

GOL and Azul

Both recruiting Brazilians in rounds with the ANAC licence training, as the GOL thread describes. Azul growing on the Embraers and the A320s. Confirmed by Isabel's trainees.

Avianca

Recruiting in Colombia, El Salvador and Ecuador for the bases, with Bogotá the largest. The Avianca thread has the assessment details. Rounds regular.

Copa

Recruiting Panamanians and some regional nationals for the Panama hub, in smaller rounds. Copa is the quiet good option in Central America: a strong operation, the 737 MAX fleet, a hub that connects the Americas, and a careful hiring rhythm.

Sky and JetSMART

The ultra low cost carriers in Chile, Peru, Argentina and Colombia, hiring continuously in volume, the Latin American Viva model as Victor's replies describe.

The US carriers for Latin Americans

No visa sponsorship, so only those with US work rights. The Miami and Houston bases hire bilingual crew with those rights regularly.

The Gulf events in Latin America

Emirates and Qatar hold events in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Bogotá on a rolling basis, less frequently than in Asia. The Brazilian and Mexican applicants on this forum confirm the São Paulo and Mexico City events this year. Latin American crew are a smaller share of the Gulf cabins and the recruiters are looking for Spanish and Portuguese speakers for the South America routes.

Quieter

Some of the Argentine carriers, whose situation follows the economy. Crew from Argentina can add.
