Applying to cabin crew from a ground staff job at the same airport: does check in and gate experience count for anything?

#1 Casablanca, two years as ground staff at the airport, check in and gate for several airlines including Royal Air Maroc, and I am now applying for cabin crew at RAM and at Qatar. I read the threads about hospitality and retail counting as customer service and I want to ask the more specific question: does the airport itself count for more, less, or the same?
What I actually do
Check in at the desk for five different carriers depending on the shift. Gate boarding, including the part where the flight is oversold and I am the one telling people they are not flying. Irregular operations: the delay board, the rebooking queue, the hotel vouchers at 1am. Passengers with reduced mobility, unaccompanied minors, the documents check for the Gulf and Europe. I speak Arabic, French and English at the desk every day.
What I think helps
I already know the airport, the systems, the language of the operation. I have seen a lot of crews board and I know what a good briefing looks like from the gate side. I have handled more angry passengers than most cabin crew will meet in a year, because the gate is where the anger happens.
What I worry about
That recruiters see ground staff as a different job and not a step towards cabin. That the assessment group task will not care about my document knowledge. That being from the same airport might actually count against me at RAM, because they know the ground staff pay and the culture and might assume I am just looking for a raise.
For people who moved from the ground to the cabin: how did you frame it? Did the airline see it as internal knowledge or as a distraction? And for RAM specifically, is the internal route (ground to cabin) a real path or does everyone go through the same external assessment?

At RAM the ground to cabin move is real and happens through the same assessment as external candidates, but the recruiters know the ground staff and that mostly helps if your record is clean. Frame the gate work as 'I already handle the worst ten minutes of the passenger journey' and say it exactly like that.

#3 Went the other way, cabin to ground, and I can tell you the skills overlap almost completely. The one thing cabin crew have that gate staff do not is the emergency role, and that is trained. Everything else you already have. Do not let anyone tell you the airport is a different world.

#4 Qatar recruiters in Casablanca loved my colleague who came from ground at Mohammed V. She could talk about IROPS, PRM handling and document checks, and every one of those is a story they can write down. Your three languages are the extra. Go in confident.
