Reapplying after a rejection: what to change, what to keep the same, and whether they can see the old application

#1 Warsaw, failed the Wizz group stage in spring, reapplying in October, and I have spent the summer working out what a second application should actually look like. Sharing the plan, and asking the people who got in on the second try to correct it.
Can they see the old one
Yes, at most airlines. The applicant system keeps the record and the recruiters can see that you applied before and how far you got. That is not a bad thing. A candidate who came back after six months with a better application is a known category and, from what the crew on here say, a liked one. What they cannot see is why you failed, unless a note was written, which for a group stage exit usually was not.
What I am changing
The CV, with numbers instead of duties, following the thread in this board. The group exercise approach, completely: last time I tried to win the discussion and this time I will contribute twice, use a name once, and watch the clock. My stories for the interview, which I did not get to last time and which I have written out and practised anyway. And the photo, which was fine and is now better.
What I am keeping
The airline. Wizz is the one I want and the one that fits my base and my language. The honest account of the first attempt, if asked. I will say I applied in spring, went out at the group stage, and spent six months fixing the specific thing. Recruiters like a candidate who can name the thing.
The question
For people who got in on a second or third application: did the recruiter mention the first one, and did you bring it up first or wait to be asked?

#2 BA, second application, and the recruiter mentioned it at the final: 'I see you applied last year.' I said yes, I went out at the final, and I fixed the depth of my answers. She nodded and moved on. Bring it up only if asked, and when asked, name the thing.

#3 Emirates, second attempt, and nobody mentioned the first. I had a rehearsed sentence ready for it and never used it. Have the sentence. Do not lead with it.

#4 Reapplying in January and this is my exact plan, down to the numbers on the CV. The 'a candidate who can name the thing' line is the one I will hold onto.

#6 Wizz Krakow, and I know two crew at my base who got in on the second try after a group stage exit. Both say the same thing: the second group exercise felt easy because they knew what the room wanted. You will know.

#7 Helped at open days, and the returning candidate is visible on the system and it reads as persistence, not failure. The ones who worry about it are worrying about the wrong thing. Fix the group exercise. That is the whole job for October.
