#1 Since it comes up: you join in economy, move to business after a period and a course, then first class on the aircraft that have it, then CS (cabin senior) and CSD (cabin services director). Promotions are on checks and performance, not just time. Business took me about two and a half years. The CSD role is a real management job, reports, appraisals, the lot, and it pays like one.
