United commuting policy, living in another city and flying from Houston

#1 WestJet here, we have a lot of commuters. How does commuting work at United, can you live in Denver and be based in Houston?

#2 Very common. Commuters fly in on staff travel the day before a trip and either stay in a crash pad or a hotel. The rules are on you to be at report on time, and on reserve it is much harder because of the call window, so most people commute only once they hold a line. Denver to Houston is a normal commute, there are many flights.
