Qatar Airways open day Casablanca done, now on day 12 of silence. Sharing the day and asking about the wait

#1 I said I would write this up for the Moroccan applicants who message me, so here it is, and then I have a question about the wait because I am losing my mind a little.
The Casablanca open day, as it actually went:
Arrived at 7:30 for an 8:00 start at a hotel near the airport. About 180 people in the queue by 8. Registration took over an hour: they check passport, they check the CV, they take the photo you brought and they look at you properly. Some people were told at the desk they could not proceed, mostly for visible tattoos and one girl for a passport expiring in four months.
Then everyone went into a hall for the company presentation. Forty minutes, in English, and they walked the rows while it ran.
First cut came straight after, based on the desk check and the CV. I would say 60 went home. No group task yet, just a list of numbers read out.
The rest of us did the reach test (212cm), then an English test on paper, then a group exercise in tables of six with a scenario about a delayed flight and limited meals. The recruiters said very little and wrote a lot.
Second cut after the group work. About 40 of us left at that point.
Then the individual interviews, 20 to 25 minutes, one recruiter, competency questions. Mine were: a time I dealt with an angry customer, a time I made a mistake, what I know about Doha, and whether I had any concerns about living there. The last question is not casual, they want to hear you have thought about it.
They said we would hear within two to four weeks.
So: day 12. The group chat has one person who got a 'moved to the next stage' email on day 6 and nobody else. Is that normal? Does the first email mean the rest of us are out, or do they go in batches?

#2 Qatar, from Morocco too, three years in. Batches, absolutely. In my group the first email came on day 5 and the last on day 34. The ones who heard first were not better, they were just processed first. Day 12 means nothing. Also, your write up of the day is exactly how ours went, down to the meals scenario.

#3 Tunis to Doha, four years. The 'concerns about living in Doha' question is the one that decides more than people think. They have lost too many crew who arrived, hated the heat and the rules and left in month three. The good answer is a real concern with a real plan, not 'no concerns at all', which nobody believes.

#6 I was there too, table near the back. Thank you for writing it up so well. Day 12 for me as well and I have decided to stop counting. If anyone from the Casablanca day reads this, the group chat is not a good place to be right now, it is just people refreshing.

#7 Went through Casablanca last year. My email came on day 27. Then a medical questionnaire, then a long wait for the joining date. From the open day to Doha was just under seven months. Set your expectations there and the waiting hurts less.

#8 Air Algérie crew, thinking about the Gulf, and this thread is more useful than any recruiter page. The batching thing is good to know. Twelve days is nothing. Go and live your life for a month.
