#1 Prague base reduced for winter my first year. I was offered a temporary move to another base or unpaid leave. Took the move, three months in another country, came back in April. It was not fun but it was clear and the airline covered accommodation for the temporary base. If you are at a seasonal base, expect this and plan for it.

#2 Dublin is year round so we do not see it, but I have friends who did exactly this from Spanish bases.
