Training pay at the US majors, can you actually live on it?

#1 Looking at Delta and American eventually. Training is paid but I hear the training rate is low. Can you live on it for six weeks?

#2 Housing is provided during training so the training pay only needs to cover food and small things. It is low but the hotel and shuttle are covered. Bring some savings for the gap between training ending and the first real paycheck, that is the tight period.
