Applying to cabin crew with a disability, hearing aid in one ear
-
#1 Mild hearing loss, hearing aid in one ear, fully functional with it. Will this block a cabin crew application? Which airlines are known to be fair about it?
-
#2 It comes down to the aviation medical: can you hear evacuation commands and the interphone with the aid. Many regulators assess it individually and people fly with hearing aids. Declare it, bring an audiogram, and ask the airline's medical department directly before the assessment. Not declaring is the only thing that guarantees a problem.

#3 KLM colleague flies with one. Passed the medical with a specialist letter. It is possible.
