Photo taken by a professional vs my phone, does it really change the outcome?

#1 Photographers who do crew applications charge around 60 to 80 dollars here. Is it really worth it or is a good phone photo with a white wall enough?

#2 My phone photos got an automatic rejection at Qatar. Same CV with photographer photos got the event invite. That is one data point but it was expensive to learn.

#3 Purser view: the file with proper photos looks like the person already understands the standard. That is what the recruiter reads into it. Spend the money.
