What was the group exercise at your assessment? Collecting every task in one place
-
#1 Jet2 and TUI assessments coming up and I want to practise realistic tasks. Post your airline and the exact group task you got. I will keep a list in this first post.
List so far:
Emirates: rank items to survive in a desert
Qatar: plan an inflight service for a delayed flight
easyJet: design a new airline in 20 minutes -
#2 Jet2 Manchester: you have a budget, plan a charity fun day for the base. 8 people, 20 minutes, 2 minute presentation.
-
#3 TUI: choose 5 items from a list of 15 to take on a desert island, agree as a group. Classic.
-
#4 easyJet Luton a few years ago: a passenger scenario, a family with a crying baby next to a business traveller, how do you handle both.
-
#5 Ryanair Dublin: sell the group a product from a random list. I got a toaster. Sold it.
-
#6 Aer Lingus: plan a transatlantic service with a set menu and a delay. Lots of talking about priorities.
-
#7 BA Heathrow: a customer whose connecting flight is at risk, agree a plan as a crew. Then a role play separately.
-
#8 Vueling: you are stuck at an airport with the group for 12 hours, plan how to keep passengers happy with a small budget.
-
#9 Korean Air: a discussion topic unrelated to aviation, in English, they watch how you take turns.
-
#10 SIA: general topic too, ours was about social media and young people. Not about the job at all.
-
#11 Emirates has changed the task over the years, desert items, building a service concept, a trip planning task. Same scoring every time though: listen, include, contribute, stay calm.
-
#12 Emirates Johannesburg last year: plan a company event with a budget. So the desert one is not the only one.
-
#13 Updated the list in my head, this is brilliant. Practising the charity day one with friends this weekend.
