First supernumerary flight tomorrow, what do I actually do on board?

#1 Passed training, first supernumerary (familiarisation) flight tomorrow, Warsaw-London and back. What do I do? Just watch? Serve? I don't want to be in the way.

#2 You're an extra crew member being assessed by the number one. You'll do the safety demo position, a cabin secure check, part of the service under supervision, and the paperwork with the number one. Ask before touching anything in the galley, say your cross-checks out loud, smile at the passengers, and bring food, the crew meal is not guaranteed for supernumeraries on some rotations. Enjoy it, it's the day the job becomes real.

#3 Done. Six sectors over two days, the number one signed me off. Sat at L2 for landing and had to remind myself I wasn't a passenger.
