BMI and "weight in proportion to height", what does the assessment actually check?

#1 No airline publishes a number anymore but everyone whispers about BMI. What actually happens? Do they weigh you? I'm 167 cm, 68 kg, and worried about the Gulf assessments.

#2 Nobody weighs you at an assessment. The practical checks are: can you fit and fasten the jumpseat harness without an extender, move down the aisle, lift the emergency equipment overhead. At 167/68 you're well within any of that. The Gulf carriers do look at overall presentation more strictly than European ones, but that's about grooming and uniform fit, not a scale.

#3 Singapore Airlines is the strict end and even there it's presentation and the kebaya fitting, not a number. Sofia, you're fine, focus on the group exercise.
