Interview outfit: does it need to look like the airline's uniform?

#1 For men it seems simpler but I still want to get it right. Dark suit, white shirt, tie? Clean shaven? Is a neat beard acceptable at Gulf carriers in 2026?

#2 Navy or charcoal suit, white shirt, plain tie, polished black shoes, clean shave. Emirates and Qatar still expect clean shaven at assessment, some Gulf and Asian carriers now allow a tightly groomed beard on the line, but for the interview don't test it. Hair short and tidy, no visible tattoos, one watch, no other jewellery.

#3 For women reading this: business dress or skirt suit to the knee, neat bun, natural makeup with a red or coral lip for the Gulf carriers, closed-toe heels you can stand in for eight hours. Study the airline's own crew photos and aim for that look.
