Scenario question: passenger won't fasten seatbelt before takeoff, the answer recruiters want

#1 This scenario comes up at almost every airline and I've heard candidates give some wild answers ("I'd tell the captain to stop the plane"). The structure they want:
1. Polite, private request.
2. Explain why, it's a legal requirement and for their safety during takeoff.
3. Second request, still calm.
4. Inform the senior cabin crew member / purser. They decide on escalation to the flight deck.What they're scoring: do you follow the chain of command, do you stay polite, do you understand safety comes before comfort. Never confrontation, never heroics.

#2 Yes. And add one detail interviewers like: you keep an eye on the passenger afterwards and note it for the purser, because the same person may be trouble at landing.

#3 Got this exact question at Wizz and used this structure. The interviewer's follow-up was "and if they still refuse?", answer: it's the purser's call and ultimately the captain's, the aircraft won't depart with an unsecured passenger.
