STAR method examples for cabin crew, my six prepared stories
-
#1 Prepared six STAR stories before my easyJet interview and used four of them. Sharing the framework, not my exact stories:
1. Difficult customer, hotel guest with a wrong booking, stayed calm, found an alternative, guest left a positive review.
2. Team conflict, a colleague not pulling weight, spoke privately, split tasks clearly.
3. Going above and beyond, stayed late to help a lost elderly customer get a taxi.
4. A mistake I fixed, double-booked a table, admitted it immediately, offered a solution.
5. Working under pressure, Christmas Eve rush, prioritised, communicated wait times.
6. Adapting to change, new POS system, learned it in a weekend, helped train others.Keep each to 60-90 seconds. Result must be concrete.

#2 Solid set. The one people forget is number 4, the mistake story. Interviewers love it because it shows honesty and procedure. Pick a real, small mistake with a clear fix; never "I'm too much of a perfectionist".

#3 US carriers ask the same things with slightly different wording ("tell me about a time you went the extra mile"). Same six stories cover it. Practise out loud, recorded, the follow-up questions are where people fall apart, not the prepared answer.
