Ryanair assessment day Dublin, the training cost question, asked honestly
-
#1 I'm number one at Ryanair and I see this asked constantly, so here's the honest version for the assessment day.
Yes, at the recruitment day they will explain the training course and how it's funded. Depending on the contract (direct vs agency, and the base), you'll either pay a course fee, have it deducted from salary over the first year, or in some direct contracts have it covered with a retention clause. Read the contract line about training costs and repayment before you sign anything, that's the question to ask on the day, and it's a fair question.
The assessment itself is straightforward: presentation on yourself, group exercise, short interview. They're checking energy, sales personality and flexibility on base.

#2 This is the clearest explanation I've read. Is it rude to ask about the fee directly at the assessment?

#3 Not rude at all, ask in the Q&A part, not in your interview. Frame it as "how is the initial training funded on this contract" and you'll get a straight answer.
