Emirates photo requirements 2026: full length + passport style, exact spec that passed

#1 Sharing what worked because I got this wrong the first time and my application vanished.
Passport style: plain white background, shoulders up, smiling with teeth (not like a real passport photo), hair in a bun, red lipstick, no filter, taken 2 weeks before.
Full length: same background, business dress to the knee, closed-toe heels, arms relaxed at sides, standing straight. No hand on hip, no crossed arms.
I paid a photographer who does crew applications, around €60, and the difference from my phone photos was night and day. Second application got the Open Day invite in 9 days.

#2 This is exactly right. The thing people miss is recent, they want photos that look like you will look at the assessment. If your hair colour or weight changed, retake them.
Also: the photos are checked for visible tattoos before anyone reads a word of your CV. Wrists and ankles in the full-length shot matter.

#3 Small addition from someone who's seen a few rejected files: no sunglasses on the head, no group-photo crops, and don't over-retouch. Recruiters compare the photo to the person who walks in, and a big gap reads badly.
