Training with a fear of flying, is it possible? Asking seriously
-
#1 Embarrassing but real. I am fine with the idea of the job and I have flown a lot, but I get nervous in turbulence. Will training make it worse or better? Has anyone joined with this?

#2 Better, honestly. Once you know what the aircraft is doing and what the procedures are, turbulence becomes an annoyance not a threat. Two people on my LATAM course had the same thing and both are still flying, one on the ultra long haul to Australia. The knowledge kills the fear.

#3 Same experience. Understanding why the wing flexes fixed it for me in week two.
