What recruiters write down while you talk, from an ex recruiter

#1 Since I did this job for years, here is what the sheet looks like, roughly. Columns for communication, teamwork, customer focus, resilience, motivation. Each is a number and a few words. The words are things like 'listens', 'interrupts', 'structured', 'vague', 'realistic about job', 'travel focused'. That last one is a minus. What moved scores up most: specific stories, calm under follow up questions, and asking the quiet person in the group what they thought. What moved them down: talking over people, 'I'm a people person' without an example, and checking the time. That's it. There is no trick.

#2 This is the most useful thing I have read all month. 'Travel focused' as a minus explains a lot of rejections I have seen.

#3 SIA's sheet has a grooming column too, from the moment you walk in. Same idea otherwise.
