#1 Senior crew here and I sometimes help at recruitment days. A lot of people fail the reach test because they think 210 is a formality. It is measured properly: shoes off, standing against the wall, on tiptoes, one arm fully up, fingertips at 210. If you are at 208 at home you will be at 208 in the room. Practise for a month before, shoulder mobility genuinely adds a centimetre or two. And please don't argue with the assessor, it has never once worked.
