Applying at 38, is it too late for cabin crew?

#1 Not me, my sister in law. She is 38, two kids, twenty years in retail management. Wants to fly short haul from London. Is 38 realistic? Everything online is 21 year olds.

#2 Realistic in Europe and the US, yes. No upper age limit at BA, easyJet, Jet2, Virgin, and the US majors hire people in their 40s and 50s regularly. Retail management is a strong background for the group exercise and the role play. The honest limits are the Gulf carriers, where in practice first hires skew young, and the reserve life at US majors which is hard with kids. UK short haul from Gatwick with a fixed pattern would be my suggestion for her.

#3 Two people on my easyJet course were over 40. One had three kids. Both still flying. Tell her to apply.

#4 WestJet has plenty of crew who started late and went part time once they had seniority. Late starters are often the most reliable people on the base.
