Ex-crew to nursing, anyone done it? How transferable is the experience?

Thinking seriously about nursing after flying. It's apparently one of the most common serious retraining paths. Anyone here done it or know someone who did?

Two ex-LATAM colleagues did nursing in São Paulo. Their view: crew already handle emergencies, difficult people and shift work, so the culture shock was small; the academic side was the effort. Both said the first-aid and CPR training gave them a head start and both studied while still flying part-time in the last year. Nursing programmes in several countries are notably full of ex-crew.

In France it's a well-trodden path too, the shift-work tolerance is exactly what hospitals need.
