Injured on duty (turbulence, trolley), why you must report it the same day
-
#1 A colleague hurt her back in turbulence, said "it's fine", and six months later it's chronic and there's no record. Don't be her. Report every on-duty injury through the occurrence system the same day, however minor: workers' compensation, employer liability and airline insurance all turn on that contemporaneous report. Turbulence injuries should also generate a safety report. The person with records wins, every time.

#2 Also see the airline doctor or your own the same week, and keep copies. Union reps have seen your exact situation dozens of times, call before any formal meeting, not after.
