Studying for a degree while flying, how people actually do it
-
#1 Part time at WestJet and doing an online degree. It works because: part time roster, online courses with flexible deadlines, studying on layovers is actually easy (hotel room, no distractions), and I schedule exams on days off months ahead. Full time crew on my base do it too, slower. If you are planning a life after flying, starting the study while flying is the smoothest landing I have seen.

#2 Half of Lufthansa's part time crew are doing exactly this. The layover as a study day is real.

#3 On reserve it is harder because you cannot plan, but the studying on layovers idea works. Bookmarking.
