Cape Town layover, the crew guide (from a local who flies)
-
#1 Cape Town local and ex BA long haul, so here is the version for crew with 48 hours. Day one: Sea Point promenade walk, lunch at the V and A, early night. Day two: Table Mountain by cable car early before the wind, or Kirstenbosch if the mountain is closed, then a winelands afternoon if the crew organises a driver, which they always do. Safety: use the hotel's transport, don't walk at night, keep phones out of sight in the city centre. It is the layover everyone loves for a reason.

#2 Charlotte wrote the layover I have done thirty times. The winelands driver is a whole crew tradition.

#3 Emirates crew do the same itinerary. Cape Town wins every list.
