Sick pay when you are grounded for an ear infection, how long does it last?

Grounded with an ear infection, doctor says two weeks minimum. What happens to pay? Sector pay obviously stops but does basic continue?

Depends on the contract. Legacy carriers with collective agreements generally pay full basic for a period and often an average of flying pay too. Low cost contracts usually pay basic only, sometimes with a waiting period, and no sector pay. Check your contract's sick pay clause, and follow the reporting procedure exactly, that matters more than the illness for the absence system.

easyJet paid basic, no sector pay, for my two weeks with the same thing. And ear infections are the one thing you never fly with, so don't.
