#1 Three years at Emirates. Savings: roughly the equivalent of a decent house deposit at home, and I was not especially careful in year one. Housing, transport and medical covered is the reason. The crew who saved more shared the same habits: no car, cooking on days off, one destination meal per layover, converting money home monthly. The crew who saved nothing had the same salary and a Friday brunch habit. It is a choice more than a number.
