After the call: documents, medical and the pre-joining checklist (Gulf carriers)
-
#1 Got the call? The next six weeks are paperwork. Typical list for QR/EK/EY:
- Attested high school certificate (this takes the longest, start today)
- Police clearance certificate from your home country
- Passport with 12+ months validity
- Medical: blood tests, chest X-ray, drug screening, done in Doha/Dubai on arrival or at a designated clinic
- Photos, again, to spec
- Signed offer and contractDon't resign from your current job until the joining date and visa are confirmed in writing.
-
#2 Attestation of my Spanish certificate took three weeks with the ministry. Started it the day after the call, glad I read this.
-
#3 India: apostille and attestation can take a month. Start before the call if you're at final interview stage.
