#1 Back in Australia now, so the Qantas questions come to me. Key facts: Qantas requires Australian or New Zealand citizenship/permanent residency for its own crew; international candidates without residency are generally not eligible. International long-haul and domestic short-haul are separate recruitment streams with different bases (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth). Jetstar has its own process. Pay and conditions are covered by enterprise agreements. Ex-Gulf crew are common in the international fleet.
