Etihad staff travel and the annual leave ticket, how good is it really?

Ex Etihad, now Qantas. People ask me about the Etihad travel benefits. Honest answer: staff travel on the network is standby and good, the annual leave ticket is a real perk especially for far away home countries, and the interline agreements are decent. What surprised me at Qantas is how similar it is. Don't choose an airline for staff travel alone, but it is one of the genuine perks of the Gulf.
