Moving from Qatar Airways to Emirates or the other way, is it common and how?

#1 If someone joins Qatar and later wants Emirates, or the reverse, is that a normal move? Do you have to resign and reapply from scratch?

#2 Common enough. You resign, serve your notice, and apply to the other as an experienced candidate. Your experience helps at the assessment but you start at the bottom grade again. People do it for Dubai versus Doha lifestyle more than for money. A few years at one then a move is a well known pattern.

#3 I know people who went both ways. Nobody regretted the experience, some regretted starting the grade ladder again.
