European carriers hiring for summer 2027 already: BA, Lufthansa, Air France, KLM, TAP, Aer Lingus and the low cost carriers, and how early the intake closes
-
#1 easyJet Manchester, cabin manager, and the thing the European applicants get wrong every year is the timing: the summer 2027 intakes are being recruited now, in November and December 2026, and the applicant who waits for the spring finds the courses full. Here is the European hiring picture for summer 2027 from the crew on this forum, carrier by carrier, with the windows.
The low cost carriers
easyJet: the summer intake recruitment runs from autumn through winter for courses starting January to April, by base, with the UK and European bases listed separately; the November and December assessment days are the ones that fill the early courses and the applicant who applies in March gets the late courses or the waiting list. Ryanair: continuous recruitment with the agency and direct routes, the winter assessments feeding the spring courses (Liam's cost thread has the structure). Wizz: the base openings and the summer intake announced on the careers page through the winter, the Eastern European and Italian bases the volume. Jet2 and TUI: the seasonal intake windows open in autumn and close by early winter for the courses starting February and March (Emily's and Zara's threads); the Jet2 window is the one that closes earliest and the applicants should treat October to December as the season. Vueling, Transavia, Norwegian: the summer intakes recruited through the winter in their markets.
The legacy carriers
BA: the Heathrow and Gatwick intakes recruited through the winter for the spring and summer courses, the assessment centres running monthly (Eleanor's base comparison thread for the choice). Lufthansa: the recruitment continuous with the courses through the year, the Frankfurt and Munich intakes, the Tarifvertrag questions on the board. Air France: the selection days through the winter for the spring courses, the CCA question (Laura's thread). KLM: the Dutch speaking intake through the winter (Tessa's thread for the language rule). SAS: smaller intakes, the Scandinavian bases, the language rule. TAP: the Lisbon intakes announced in waves, the Brazil and Africa long haul growth driving it. Iberia and Iberia Express: the Madrid intakes through the winter for the summer. Aer Lingus: the Dublin summer intake and the transatlantic course (the earlier thread on this board), the window in late autumn.
How early the summer intake actually closes
For the seasonal leisure carriers (Jet2, TUI): by December, with the January applications going to the waiting list. For easyJet: the early courses fill by January, the late courses by March. For Ryanair and Wizz: rolling, but the spring courses fill from the winter assessments. For the legacy carriers: the spring courses fill by February and the summer courses by April. The applicant who applies in February 2027 for summer 2027 is competing for the leftover places at most carriers and the one who applied in November 2026 has the course.
What the applicants should do this month
Apply to the seasonal carriers now if they want summer 2027 (Jet2 and TUI especially). Book the easyJet assessment days in November and December for the early courses. Put the legacy applications in for the spring courses. And set the alerts on the careers pages, because the windows at the seasonal carriers are weeks, not months.
The honest read
Europe is hiring for summer 2027 and the recruitment is happening now, in the two months the applicants think are the off season. The summer is decided in November.

#2 Jet2 Manchester, and the Jet2 window closing earliest is the thing I say every autumn and the applicants in February every year do not believe me. The season is October to December. Amy has written the thread the Jet2 applicants need pinned at the top of this board every autumn.
-
#3 Jet2 Manchester, and my own application was November for a February course and the ones who applied in January were on the waiting list for the March one. The summer is decided in November is exactly right. The seasonal carriers run early.
-
#4 easyJet Gatwick, and the early courses filling by January and the late ones by March is the Gatwick pattern and the November assessment days are the ones to book. Amy has the easyJet timing right from the Manchester side and it matches the south.
-
#5 Aer Lingus Dublin, seven years, and the Dublin summer intake window being late autumn is correct and the transatlantic course is the spring one, so the applicant who wants summer 2027 at Aer Lingus applies this month. The Aer Lingus and Ryanair comparison thread on this board has the Dublin choice.
-
#6 TAP Lisbon, and the Lisbon intakes announced in waves with the long haul growth driving them is right and the next wave is expected over the winter from what the training department says. The Portuguese applicants (Ines, Daniel, Maria) should have the alerts set. Good European read.

#7 Leeds, Jet2, TUI and Virgin Manchester this winter, and this thread has moved my Jet2 application from 'after Christmas' to this week. The window is weeks, not months. Thank you Amy, and Emily for the confirmation.
-
#8 TUI Glasgow, five years, and the TUI window closes with the Jet2 one and the Glasgow base recruits in the same autumn window, so the Scottish applicants should read this as Scotland too. The summer in Cancun is decided in November. Pin it.

#9 @zara1999 this week is the right week and the Jet2 Leeds base recruits in the same window as Manchester. @kirstywings adding Glasgow to the read: the TUI Scottish bases are in the autumn window too.
