Recruiter, Cape Town, and the monthly Gulf read is the thread the applicants refresh most, so here is November 2026 from the events I run, the ones I hear about from the other consultancies, and what the crew on this forum see at the training centres. Hiring status changes weekly; this is the read as of the first week of the month and the replies will update it.

    Emirates

Open days and assessment days continuing across Africa, South Asia, Europe and Latin America this month, with the cities on the careers page updated every fortnight. The training centre batches are full and the joining dates being given are two to four months out. The read: steady, large volume, the usual thinning at the final interview. The ones who went to the October events are getting calls on the day 20 to 50 window the golden call threads describe.

    Qatar Airways

Events in Africa and South Asia this quarter (the earlier thread on this board has the dates seen), plus Europe and Latin America in smaller numbers. The joining dates are running further out than Emirates (three to five months) and the applicants should expect the wait after the call. The read: hiring, slower on the paperwork, the medical and the visa the bottleneck.

    Etihad

Smaller volume, specific markets (the Levant, India, Europe, a few in Africa), the final interviews in Abu Dhabi for some and online for others. The read: selective and steady, the growth plan driving it, the smaller batches meaning faster joining dates for the ones who get the call.

    Riyadh Air

The second and third waves of recruitment for the launch and the growth, experienced crew preferred but not required for every wave, the events in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. The read: active and ambitious, the training centre filling, the first cohorts (Hassan's and Mariam's threads) now on the line and the airline recruiting around them.

    flydubai

Continuous online applications and regional events in the markets the Emirates events cover less (Noor's thread has the inside view), the joining dates shorter than Emirates'. The read: hiring, the Dubai door with the smaller package, faster than Emirates to join.

    Saudia and flynas

Saudia recruiting Saudi nationals primarily with the foreign intake in specific waves; flynas the same with the low cost volume. The read: hiring, Saudi focused, the foreign applicant's door narrower than the UAE and Qatar ones.

Gulf Air, Oman Air, Kuwait Airways

The smaller carriers recruiting in smaller numbers, mostly in their regions and the subcontinent, with occasional European events. The read: quiet and steady, the applicants who want the small Gulf carrier life (Tariq's and Omar's threads) should watch the careers pages directly because the events are not widely announced.

    The honest overall read

The Gulf is hiring in November 2026 across the board, the volume is at Emirates and Qatar, the speed is at flydubai and Etihad, the ambition is at Riyadh Air, and the foreign applicant's narrowest doors are the Saudi carriers. The thinning at the final interview is the same as always and the preparation threads on this forum are the difference. Post what you see this month below and I will update the read.

Riyadh Air, now on the line from the first cohort, and the third wave recruits are arriving at the training centre as Charlotte says and the experienced crew preference is real but the second wave had new joiners too. Active and ambitious is the right read. The events in Europe this month are confirmed from the inside.

Qatar since 2020, and the joining dates running three to five months out is what the new joiners at the training centre report and the medical and visa paperwork is the bottleneck exactly. Hiring, slower on the paperwork. The African event batches are the ones arriving now.

flydubai, eight months in, and the continuous online applications and the shorter joining dates are right: my own was six weeks from call to joining. The regional events are in the markets the Emirates events skip and the applicants there should look. Charlotte has the read.

Emirates, four years, and the training centre batches are full and the joining dates at two to four months match what the new batches say. The October event applicants are getting their calls now. Steady, large, the usual thinning. Good read for the month.

Gulf Air, eight years, Bahrain, and the small carrier recruiting quietly in the region and the subcontinent is accurate and the careers page is the only announcement, as Charlotte says. The applicants who want Bahrain should check it monthly. Quiet and steady.

Durban, Johannesburg open day done last month, day 19 and waiting, and the day 20 to 50 window being the current one is the hope I am holding. The read says steady. Thank you Charlotte for the monthly version.

Etihad, two years, and the smaller batches meaning faster joining dates is the Etihad advantage this month: the new joiners in my building came six to eight weeks after the call. Selective and steady, the growth plan behind it. The Levant and India events are the ones feeding the batches.

Updating from the replies: Riyadh Air's European events confirmed by Hassan, Etihad's six to eight week joining confirmed by Lily, flydubai's six weeks by Noor. @gulfbound2026 the Johannesburg batch calls are landing on schedule this round.
