Waiting for the Air France PNC decision after the Paris selection day: the French timeline, the CCA that helped

Marseille, and I wrote the Air France and Emirates one application each thread and the easyJet Geneva reply. The Air France selection day in Paris was three weeks ago and the Emirates Marseille open day is in two weeks and I am in the waiting that every golden call thread describes, in the French version, which has not been written. Here it is at day 21.

    The selection day

At the Air France centre near Roissy, 40 of us, the group exercise in French (a scenario about a delayed flight with the DOM passengers, which the Orly crew on this forum would recognise), the English test (written and a conversation with a recruiter who was gentler than the Gulf threads described), the individual interview in French (the competency questions, the why Air France, the Paris base question answered with the crash pad plan Amélie gave me, the CCA held in advance noted with approval). Amélie and Raoul were right: the CCA in advance was asked about and the recruiter said it shortens the course.

    The French timeline

The Air France process is slow, as every French thread says: the selection day, then the medical convocation (the CCA medical at the aeromedical centre, which I had already done for the CCA and which may be accepted), then the decision by letter or email in a window the recruiter described as 'several weeks', then the training date. The French applicants in the Marseille groups describe four to eight weeks from the selection day to the decision and two to four months from the decision to the course. Day 21 is early in the French window and the French groups say so with the French shrug.

    The two processes at once

The Emirates Marseille open day in two weeks, which I will attend, because the one application each plan has two applications and both are running. Adam's Dublin thread on the overlapping offers is the thing I reread: the Tuesday list made, the decision made in principle (Air France if it comes within the Emirates window, Emirates if Air France is silent past it), the honesty on the Emirates call if it comes first. The French slowness against the Gulf speed is the overlap problem in its purest form.

    The day count

Day 21 on Air France. Day minus 14 on Emirates. The Marseille applicant groups are mostly on the Emirates and the Air France waiting is a lonelier waiting because the French groups are smaller and more resigned. Posting the day count so the next Marseille applicant has a French entry in the data.

    For the French applicants

The CCA in advance helps and the recruiter says so. The Paris selection day is calm and in French and the English is a conversation. The timeline is four to eight weeks to the decision and the French shrug is the correct response to day 21. And the second process running alongside is the only way to wait for Air France without losing the year.

Air France Orly, and the DOM delayed flight scenario at the selection day is the Orly one and Claire recognised it from the forum, which the recruiter would not have known. The four to eight weeks to the decision is the French timeline and the shrug is correct. The CCA in advance noted with approval is the thing I promised.

Air France CDG, and the French slowness against the Gulf speed as the overlap problem in its purest form is the Marseille applicant's situation exactly and Adam's Tuesday list is the method. The Air France decision will come in the window and the Emirates call may come first. Decide now, as the Dublin thread said.

Lyon, the same two dreams, and Claire's day 21 with the French shrug is the thread I will be in next year. The CCA in advance done this winter, as advised. The French waiting is lonelier and this thread makes it less so.

Dublin, the two applications thread, and the Tuesday list made and the decision made in principle before either call is exactly the thing I learned the hard way and Claire has done in advance. The French and the Gulf overlap is the Irish and the Gulf overlap with a slower first one. The list holds.

easyJet Geneva, and the third application Claire added after my thread is the one that answers fastest if the French is silent and the Gulf is silent, which is the Geneva use: the fast Swiss door while the slow ones decide. Day 21 is early. Geneva would be day 9.

Air France CDG, seven years, and the Paris selection day being calm and in French with a gentle English recruiter is the Air France way and the Gulf applicants who come to it find it strange. Claire has it right. The decision comes by letter and the letter is slow and the course is good.

@lenagva Geneva would be day 9 and the Geneva application went in last week, which makes three processes and one Tuesday list. @amelieory the shrug is practised daily and the CCA is noted with approval on my file, which is the sentence I wanted.
