JAL purser, and Leon's Asia hiring thread had Japan and Korea in two paragraphs. The Japanese and Korean applicants on this forum (in English, which is a specific group) need the detail and the Tokyo and Seoul crew on this forum have it. Here is the picture this month, in the running thread format. Add below with the date.

    JAL

The new graduate round for the spring intake closed in the autumn as usual, the mid career round open with a larger intake than last year (the fleet growth and the international expansion), the foreign language postings (English speakers for some routes, Chinese and Korean for others) appearing on the careers site irregularly. Courses at the Haneda training centre monthly. Confirmed by the new joiners on my last flights.

    ANA

Ayaka's thread: the mid career round more active than JAL's this year, the foreign crew hires growing for the Southeast Asia routes (Thai speakers confirmed, Vietnamese posted), the new graduate round on the usual cycle. The international growth is the hiring driver. Confirmed by the ANA crew on this forum.

    Korean Air

Junho's thread: one domestic round this year, smaller, the merger integration continuing, the foreign language postings for Chinese and Japanese speakers occasional. The Korean applicants looking at the Gulf and SIA as the rounds thin. Confirmed and unchanged.

    Asiana

Integrating into Korean Air, no separate recruitment, the Asiana crew's seniority questions ongoing. The Asiana brand's recruitment is the Korean Air round.

The Japanese and Korean low cost carriers

Peach, Jetstar Japan, ZIPAIR (the JAL group's low cost long haul, which hires in its own rounds and is the Japanese applicant's low cost long haul door), Skymark, Jeju Air, T'way, Jin Air, Air Seoul: all recruiting nationals in rounds that are more frequent than the legacy ones and with lower thresholds on the image element. The Japanese and Korean applicants who do not get the legacy rounds do the low cost ones and reapply.

The Gulf and SIA events in Tokyo and Seoul

Emirates and Qatar hold events in Tokyo and Osaka and Seoul several times a year for the Japanese and Korean speakers for the routes, and SIA recruits Japanese and Korean speakers in Tokyo and Seoul regularly. The applicants who prefer the Gulf or Singapore culture to the essay and image culture go there, as Hiroshi and Junho said. The Tokyo and Seoul events are smaller than the Southeast Asian ones and the language is the hire.

THY and the European carriers in Tokyo and Seoul

Zoe's thread: THY recruits Japanese and Korean speakers in Tokyo and Seoul for the routes. Finnair recruits Japanese speakers in Tokyo (Oskar's and Kenji's replies). The European language route hires in Japan and Korea are small and real.

    Quieter

Korean Air (the merger), and the Asiana brand (integrating). The Japanese legacy carriers are the active ones this year.

Reply with your airline and the date. The Japanese and Korean section has a hiring thread now and the applicants in English deserve it current.

JAL, this month: the mid career round larger than last year confirmed by the training centre's course count, the foreign language postings for English and Chinese speakers up this quarter, the Haneda courses monthly. Keiko has the JAL picture and I confirm it from the line.

ANA, this month: the mid career round active, the Thai speaker hires in training now, the Vietnamese posting live, the new graduate round on cycle. The international growth is the driver. Confirmed.

Osaka, applying, this month: the JAL mid career application in, the ANA one in, the Emirates Osaka event attended last week (smaller than the Southeast Asian ones, as Keiko says, the Japanese as the hire), the ZIPAIR round open and applied. The Japanese applicant's four doors, all open this month.

Korean Air, this month: the Jeju Air and T'way rounds active for the Korean applicants who did not get the one Korean Air round, the SIA Seoul recruitment confirmed by the applicant groups, the Qatar Seoul event last month. The Korean low cost and the foreign doors are the active ones. Confirmed.

THY, this month: the Tokyo and Seoul language route rounds ran in the summer and the courses for the Japanese and Korean speakers started in September. Small and real, as Keiko says. Confirmed from Istanbul.

Thank you all. Japan and Korea have a thread with the legacy, the low cost and the foreign doors confirmed in a day. The Japanese and Korean applicants in English have it. Keep it current.
